MANGOCHI FACE OF TOURISM CONTEST!

Q-What is required of a contestant?

contestant will be required to prove that she has knowledge of tourism and that she is well able to represent a tourism destination of high caliber like Mangochi.

Q-Do I need to have previous Tourism experience?

No, but if you do that’s awesome. The most important aspect of any entrant is her ability to learn, grow and share knowledge and information. She need not only be beautiful but informative, creative and hospitable aswel.

Q-Is the Mangochi Face of Tourism project limited only to those staying or originally from Mangochi?

No, though priority is given to these staying in and originally from Mangochi, those who are sure that will always be available when need arises and are knowledgeable about the destination, are free to contest as this will eventually contribute to the national programme.

Q-If I come to register in person, do I still have to post my photos?

Regardless of how you enter, please post the originals of your photos. If you are unable to post them, please contact Determination Tourism Consultants offices to make alternative arrangements.

Q- Can I email my photos?

Yes, you can email your photos but please also make sure that you are friends with Mangochi Tourisn_and Attractions on Facebook.  If you are unable to post them, please contact the Determination Tourism Consultants  offices to make alternative arrangements.

Q-Is there an age limit?

Yes, the Mangochi Face of Tourism Project is only open to young women between the ages of 18 and 26.

Q-What is required of the Mangochi Face of Tourism winners?

For the year of their reign, The Mangochi Face of Tourism winners will be required to be an ambassador for Tourism in Mangochi and initiatives as run by the the association and its managing partners. They will meet and engage with people from around the district and country from all walks of life. They become Green Goddesses and icons to children from across our heart beat of the warm heart. One of the 3 winners will be selected to represent Mangochi at the national Miss Tourism Malawi.

Q-Do I have to be a model?

No, this is an opportunity for any young woman between the ages of 18 and 26.

Q-Must I submit photos of myself?

Yes. 2 Postcard sized photos. (1 Full length, 1 Profile photo).

Q-Do I need to submit professional photos?

No. Please note that if you do not have professional pics there is no problem, if you become a contestant for the main event, we will do an official professional photoshoot with you.

Q-Is there a height restriction?

There is no height restriction, we believe that Ambassadors should not be judged on this element.

Can I do my interview telephonically?

No!!  personal interviews are conducted with all entrants by a panel of judges at the offices in Mangochi for now!
