World Tourism Day Photo Competition 2013

Determination Tourism Consultants is happy to announce the 2013 World Tourism Day online photo competition under the theme Tourism & WATER:Protecting our common future.

What kind of photos are we looking for?

World Tourism Day 2013 wants to shine a spotlight on the great importance of water to the tourism sector, and tourism’s role in achieving a more sustainable water future.

We are looking for pictures that capture one or several of the following aspects:

• How you enjoy with Water in Mangochi,
• How the tourism sector is implementing new ideas to decrease water consumption and pollution in its operations
• How tourism is improving access to clean freshwater and/or strengthening water management in local communities
• How you, as a tourist, are taking concrete actions towards a more sustainable water future
• How tourism is working to help the preservation of water destinations (coastal areas, lakes, rivers, etc) mainly in Mangochi
• The great diversity of water destinations around the Mangochi and their importance for tourism

Weeekly Prizes from the 1st of September to 30th September, includes:

Free accommodation at different hotels in Mangochi, A tour Trip with the media in Mangochi, Free Meals, Airtime and alot more!

*. Winning photos will be featured on www.detertourism.typepad.com and on the official Mangochi Tourism Website Deadline Deadline for participation :20th September, 2013

Deadline for voting :24th September,2013

Winners will be announced every week and grand winners during the World Tourism Day Celebrations in Mangochi. 

Specifications

*. To enter this competition every participant is required to register and obtain an electronic identification via email to tourism.mh@gmail.com or inbox Mangochi Tourism and get an identification code!

*. Photos can be in color or in black and white and must be submitted electronically after registration. *. Up to 3 photos may be submitted by each individual participant. *. Photos must be the individual work of the named participant and must not have been previously published in any printed publication. *. Photos must be submitted electronically in high resolution jpeg format (minimum 150 pixels/no more than 3MB) to our facebook page Mangochi Tourism or in the group Malawi Tourism@ Mangochi! *. All photos should be accompanied by a short description of no more than 25 words.

*VOTING IS BASED ON THE LIKES EACH PHOTO WILL ACCUMULATE WHILE SPECIAL PHOTOS WILL BE PICKED BY OUR TEAM OF JUDGES!
